5 things to do in Milton Keynes for a fiver (or less!)

Exploring Milton Keynes doesn’t have to break the bank, have a look at our suggestions for a day out for a fiver or less!

 

Thrift farm – £5 for adults 

Thrift farm is the perfect family day out on a budget with adult tickets only a fiver and located just a 15 minute drive from CMK. You can meet the traditional farm animals, play in the outdoor area and bring a picnic (or there is a great cafe on site)!

 

Watch the Dragon Boat festival – free admission

City Stay competed in the dragon boat festival last year and throughly enjoyed our day out. Admission is free to Willen Lake, you will need change for parking (and an ice cream). Make sure you visit on Sunday 23rd June to check it out!

 

MK11 Jam & Open Mic night – free admission

Every Tuesday MK11 hold an Open Mic night, head on down and catch the unknown talent of Milton Keynes. Admission is free and this is a weekly event every Tuesday.

 

Santander bike ride – £1 for first half hour and then £1 for each additional 30 mins after that

There are numerous Santander bike stations around Milton  Keynes where you can hire a bike out, easiest way is to download the ‘Santander Cycle UK’ app and Milton Keynes is your oyster!

Salcey Forest – free admission (all day parking £4)

Salcey Forest is an ancient woodland just a 25 minute drive from Milton Keynes. Its the perfect location for a day out in the forest, theres walking trails, children’s adventure play area, a horse riding trail and an on site cafe.
