We’ve been talking to a lot of our customers lately about some top tips for Milton Keynes and we thought we’d better put them down in a blog. Here are some that you’ll really want to thank us for!
Milton Keynes has very Americanised roads, with hundreds of roundabouts and dual carriageways but there is more to it than this. Pedestrians can easily work from one place to another and most importantly – safely, with tunnels under all the main roads and pavements well away from the busy traffic.
Parking can get very expensive, mainly there are two zones, premium and standard rates (currently £2/hour and £0.50/hour). A couple of tips here – try and take cash, paying via the app or by phone is more expensive. Another tip is that parking is free after 6pm, so if you can, try and hang fire until 6!
There are also a few places in the city which offer free parking for a few hours. Sainsbury’s is great if you need to pop into The Hub. Check out Parkopedia for a parking map of Milton Keynes.
It’s always worth checking latest offers before you head out, we have certain deals with local restaurants, which you can check out our offers page for. But it’s also worth checking elsewhere – Destination MK have a great page for offers on eating out in Milton Keynes with a great selection to choose from.
Book online – Direct
Most places, venue’s and attractions in Milton Keynes now have facilities to book online before you visit. Booking direct and online will often save you cash, and you know exactly how much you’ve spent before your trip too. If the attraction doesn’t have a deal on it’s also worth trying to search for voucher codes as well.
There you have it – some great tips for Milton Keynes, especially those that are going to save you some cash – more of which you can spend treating yourself!
